Yes, it fills an immediate and vital role right now. The new mobile version of SongSelect provides convenient, streamlined access to lyrics and chord sheets from any smartphone or web mobile device for CCLI SongSelect subscribers. But this new mobile site also sets the stage for what is to come…the long-anticipated update to the main SongSelect platform, scheduled for release later this year.
New logo. New look. A sleek, smart new search function that lists the most relevant song titles first (based on data from SongSelect prints/downloads). These are just a few of the exciting new changes to SongSelect, unveiled first on the new mobile site, mobile.songselect.com. But these features only hint at the changes coming to the main SongSelect platform.
“SongSelect has established itself as a favorite source for worship teams looking for chord sheets, lead sheets, vocal sheets, lyrics and sound samples. Over 60,000 churches across North America have a SongSelect subscription. But we are always looking to improve. With web technology pushing forward so quickly, we want SongSelect to remain at the forefront of worship team resources.”Howard Rachinski, President/CEO of CCLI
Upwardly Mobile
The new mobile version of SongSelect is not an app. Rather, it is a unique website designed for optimal performance on all smartphones and web mobile devices. It focuses on lyrics and transposable chord sheets…two of the most popular features from the main SongSelect site, giving worship leaders and teams immediate access to the SongSelect database from anywhere.
Powerful Connections
The other significant upgrade is SongSelect’s new API connection to other leading worship products and services. API stands for “Application Programming Interface” which basically means that SongSelect can now be accessed and integrated within other worship resources that SongSelect subscribers are already using.
Exciting days are ahead for SongSelect, CCLI, our API partners and our subscriber churches. Watch for more updates and announcements in the coming weeks and months.
