Sept. 6, 2011, PORTLAND, OR, USA … CCLI has just launched our new SongSelect Mobile website, and many of you automatically think “App.” It’s not surprising. Especially now, in a techno-culture where the phrase, “Is there an app for that?” is about as commonplace as “Do you want fries with that?”
Not that there’s anything wrong with apps (or fries, for that matter). It’s just that an “app” is a software application written in the native language of a particular platform. In other words, an app is limited to the device it was specifically designed for. Instead, we designed the new mobile SongSelect as an independent html5 website, so it’s optimized for all mobile devices…Apple, Android, Windows Phone 7, Blackberry, and whatever else is to come.

With the wide assortment of smartphones already, it seemed the wisest course for us to design a mobile SongSelect site that is accessible from all of them.
So give it a try. Go to mobile.songselect.com on your smartphone, tablet or any other web mobile device. See what you think.
